2001-02 Fleer Legacy is very similar to the release of Fleer Greats of the Game. Both products focus on NHL legends, a move away from the traditional focus on rookies and current stars that most product take. What is different is that Greats of the Game focused on autograph cards, Fleer Legacy offer memorabilia instead. The main bulk of the memorabilia can be split between game-used jerseys and sticks, while the In the Corners set focuses on board pieces from the Joe Louis Arena, which is identical to what great of the Game did. In a move that is similar to Bowman’s YoungStars, 2001-02 Fleer Legacy offers the chance at pulling a redemption for an autographed puck, which unfortunately have expired as a redemption, but the pucks are around on ebay and similar sites.
